Well the idle video of course was at a cold start which every car runs @ 2k rpms at a cold start.

The guages vids was just to show cabin noise of course with the windows up. But past approx. 3500rpms, like I said there is not much more drone than that stock.

Sounds nice, really really nice.. This is the DP & exhaust I am looking at getting. How much did it cost you for installation?

I am looking at either driving the car down to CP-E for installation (7 hours on the road) or having my local mechanic do the job. I know either one is fully trustworthy, I'm just not sure my mechanic will want to do it.

Will this screw my warranty, I wonder?

I really don't know about the warranty. My dealer is the one who installed my exhaust. Me and my dealer have an agreement. The only thing I can tell you is to talk to your dealer and see what you guys can come up with. I always take the time to get to know my dealers for these reasons.

On the other hand, installation. I would recommend to find someone trustworthy b/c this installation is easy but very time consuming. As I and the dealer both agreed to take our time. I paid 250 for 3 hours and the regular rate and they even let me use my 10% voucher.

Anyway, I have installed this system twice if you have any questions then please feel free to ask.

If you think you can drive to CP-E and feel like putting some miles no your car I say go for it. Trust me, you will love the ride back and every minute there after.

Well, my car almost never goes to the dealer, so I don't know what they'll say. The dealer I bought my car from is out of business, redundancies being what they are..

Partyka Mazda, the current dealer, is pretty good. I mean, the service advisors seem forthcoming and that. I doubt I'd bring the car there for this purpose, but you make a good point - it is worth consulting with them, so I'll have to see what they say.

Ahhhh, I want to do this so bad! Downpipe, exhaust, short shifter and upgraded mounts all around and I reckon I'm done.

The power this car is putting out is amazing. The only I have left to do with the engine for now is tuning solution and short shifter. Then I will work on the suspension.

I can imagine. After seeing the dyno graphs for some of the CP-E products and seeing your list I'd love to see what my car felt like with that. I love the power now but it's just an addiction. I NEED MORE!!! Haha.

You took video of the guages it wasnt at 5800 rpm when you were just chillin through town. That wasnt the worst part it was that cold start video that just was so damn loud at idle. I work with old people and do home health and even with the stock exhaust they hear me coming, lol. I am sort of over setting off car alarms I guess but some people still are in that stage so its all personal taste.

Thats cool though if you like this sort of thing but its not what I was looking for so I am glad someone got a video of all that to help others make a choice. It would suck to buy all that then not like it but hearing those videos makes the choice easy.

Exactly about personal preferrence. The Corksport DP and CBE in my car has surprised a few people with how quiet it is while cruising (2500-3000 RPM). A little extra drone when letting off the gas. Nice and aggressive when on the throttle. The old folks will still hear you coming though. I posted a sound clip in the exhaust sound thread but the mic was 3 feet away from the exhaust tip so it sounds louder than it is.

Yeah I think just the CAI is going to be fine for me then get rid of the car at about 50-60k and hope there is something else really kick ass in the same price range.

The clips all sound good but its not something I care to hear daily since it will turn too many heads and give off the racer image.
