I've been using Mobil1 5w-30 year round and never had a problem. I think I'll switch to 10w-30 in the summer months now, though.

Oh and I use 2003 2.0 WRX oil filters. They fit fine, cost the same, and have greater oil capacity. Now I don't worry about guesstimating the 3.7-3.8 quarts and just put in an even 4 quarts.

I use mobil 1 or valvoline full synthetic 5w30. I have 86000 on my msp and I dont burn a drop! change it every 3k miles

$20.00 Per L is a bit, but as I always said.

1. You want to Play, You have to Play..

2. If that $20.00 per L Oil prevents me from Crank Walk or Ruptured Mains.. Who ******* cares How Much it is.

Won't HURT? But is too thin for noting. You get no gain in the summer, The lighter cold oil of 5w30 is good for cold starting..
