Recieved Racing Mazda Header!!!!

haha naw... not his fault, more like, unsure of sound quality. i listened to matt's video clip, but didnt sound like my car. just like buying exhaust, dont know what to expect - chris

I've never noticed a difference in sound from a header. now on all of my 4cyl cars that I've bought headers with complete exhausts. So I wasn't sure what piece made the noise.

yeah i have a totally stock exhaust except that i have a gutted pre-cat. i am 101% certain it is robbing me of quite a lot of power, not only getting a smoother flow, but because my cams have a fair amount of valve overlap, that requires longer pipes from the head before they start to merge to get the most benefit of the suction due to the valve overlap.

i'm still deciding if i'll stay NA just that bit longer and go exhaust now, or get turbo sooner. at the moment, getting a turbo in about 2 years is winning out

i agree also. On a highly tuned motor like Twilights, I bet a header would make a difference. my question is this: do you think the minute differences in the two headers would make a noticeable difference?? I don't think so.

I don't know how you guys didn't know what you were getting in terms of sound quality with the header. You are pretty much smoothing out exhaust pulses meaning the pulses become in phase with each other. When you put them in phase you amplify the sound and you hear more of what you engine is actually going through.
