Recall Question, need advice

Notice alot of the noobs making useless threads.

Its a good thing I took down a list of people that had <50 posts as soon as they vote so it wont count. (lol2)

read post 3 dummy...he basically implied he was going to hang the little mistake they had made over their head in order to get a big discount on a CAI...yes that is Blackmailing and I highly doubt they sold it to him knowing the recall was in effect. They sold it to him and then the recall came out is probably what happened.

so wtf is wrong with people who dont fully read threads and then make posts insulting everyone else...

In fairness to the original poster, if he did in fact buy the car on the 7th, they should not have sold it without fixing the motor mount issues as they were notified the day before, July 6th.

The recall may have been issued on that day, but who knows...maybe the notification took two days to get to the dealer in the mail and by then the guy took the car home. Honestly I usually would bash the dealer in a case like this because a lot of the salesmen are low-lifes and they probably would sell their own mother a car that was supposed to be recalled if they could make a buck. But the circumstances in this case seem like it was just an honest mistake.
 
Either way this is a total crap thread because the guy didnt want to know for safety reasons he just wanted to go threaten the dealer with a lawsuit unless he got a good deal on a CAI...which is ****** ridiculous and illegal...

lmao you are the foolish one, you clearly dont know what blackmail is, and thats what businesses do. when they make a mistake they try to correct it by offering something to the customer. and you think they didnt know about the discount??? they are the first to know, so if the recall was already out (which was the condition that he set) then they would have known. dont criticize others because you made a mistake

who ever mentioned a lawsuit?... you did. it IS a safety issue.

Blackmail is the act of threatening to reveal information about a person, or even do something to destroy the threatened person, unless the blackmailed target fulfills certain demands. This information is usually of an embarrassing or socially damaging nature.

If the dealer did sell him the car while under recall then yes it was illegal, but they can make retribution by fixing the issue right away for him and apologize for the inconvenience(he didnt get hurt or have anything happen to him as a result of them selling the car to him)...so as long as they fix it they are vindicated...they dont have to give him discounts on other products because of this...they only have a respnibility to fix the problem...his implication is Blackmail because he is trying to get something out of them that is more than he deserves and it would be damaging to their reputation.

HE SAID THAT THE DEALER TOLD HIM IT WAS RECALLED...he wanted to know if he could hold the fact that they didnt tell him about immediately over their head to benefit himself in the form of a cold air intake....

the issue is not that the guy who started this thread is concerned about his safety, he is more concerned with how he can benefit from the fact that he didnt receive prompt notification!

If it was only a safety issue for him he wouldve just had the bolt fixed end of story...instead he wants to know if it was illegal so he can go say, "hey you guys ****** up and if you dont give me something to keep my mouth shut then I'm gonna get you in trouble"...which is blackmail dummy...I know you think mail from BET is blackmail but it really is a legal term...
