Recall for speeds

I think this is the emissions recall I just got mine Just given everyone a heads up in case you havent recieved a notice yet. Modification "4807H" its a vacumm tube realted to the varible valve timeing. thats what my dealer said , someone else told me it.s a "swirl shutter valve".

Can you post an image of the recall paperwork, the TSB isn't it called?

i havent gad it done yet i just got a post card with my vin# on it "urgent recall notice" modification 4807H

i just got one for the speed 6, they said it would probably take an hour to do.

I wonder if this is the problem I've been having. I'll be in 6th gear with about 2500 rpms and I gas it and it stutters. It's probably happened 4 times already. It can't be the gas because I get 91 and 93 octane. I'm gonna call the dealership and see if this is the problem

n/m this other thread basically answered it, I guess I can't really accelerate too much when i'm in high gear and not alot of rpms

that happens cuase of your mazdaspeed cia hits fuel cut, be happy your knock sensor is working otherwise you would get knock and boom! the cia cuases boost spike, if you have the standback it prevents this...

haha a standback wont. it may help depending on the setup but you'll always get spikes especially if you gas it on a high gear at low rpm's because the engine is loading with all the boost but hasnt got going yet. standbacks arent the awnser

yes it usually pulls timing to compenstate for knock IIRC

haha YES it does! i dont get spike with the standback it spikes to 20psi with ti off!

people have blown there engine after hearing "knock when flooring it at 25k in high gear" the knock sensor cuts fuel to protect the engine. it pust to much load on the motor..

I would have thought it would just pull timing. Not enough spark not enough fuel? What is the key to opening up the motor to flow as The Mazda God intended.

my car did the 60mph and hit it in 6th gear and poer cut even before having the ms CAI. as a matter of fact I just called my dealership today totake it in for a suspension noise and mentioned this to them as well. I just learned to live with it and figured it was a flaw in the desing. all you really have to do is make sure you dont load the engine too much in a high gear , if that means 60 in 6th or 35 in 4th going up a hill. Every car has its flaws.

+1 You are going to spike if you go wot in a high gear at low RPMs...You should not be going that anyways..if you are only at 3k rpms and in 5th or 6th gear dont go wot..drop into 4th.

If you are spiking to 20psi you have a problem with your car..thats not normal even if you are loading the engine with boost at low rpms..
