Reason #216704836 to buy Japanese

Whew

That poor focus has had a rough time...

All domestics aren't that bad though. I mean, I wouldn't think twice about buying a Mustang Cobra, or a Chevrolet Corvette... Would you?

I've owned 3 mazda's and a Chevy truck.
(1990 Protege LX, 1994 Probe GT(Mazda powertrain), and my P5)
I never had any more trouble out of my truck than I did with any of the others. I think the two main issues are quality control and maintenance (like any other make). If they ever get the quality control taken car of for domestics, I think they will be fine. The maintenance, well, I guess that's up to the consumer still. You are right about the resale for sure, and the lack of repairs needed... Anyways, just my .02. :)

uhm....ah...... :o

The name Gelaendewagen was taken?

Ok - I'd pass on a Mustang and Chevette er...Corvette - but ya, I'd take a dually Ram or Hummer.

Gimme a NSX over a Vette.

Which Japanese company builds the "Humvee's?" ;)

Don

Toyota makes one like the Hummer but its kinda underpowered, its called the Toyota Mega Crusier and comes with 4WS!!

slow and over priced compared to what? a ferrari F355? don't forget the NSX is a midengined car designed to compete with other MR designs not FR OHV cars

I'll take the "outdated" NSX over the very overpriced and outdated Corvette anyday, just as I'd take any 10 year old design Japanese roadbike over a brand new Harley.

My last American made car was a Corvette . . . . .

Ford messed up on the SVT Focus as well. I did a search last night and found that was a recall on the Focus already due to the throttle possibly getting stuck at WOT. Damn shame since it's our same dual runner intake manifold.

If I wanted brute force kind of power, I definately go with a Z-06. But if I wanted to floss around town and still hand people their asses, I'd pay more and get the 2002 NSX. I'm not saying that the NSX is a lot slower some sources have reported high 12's in the quarter for the 02 model. But it's clear that the Z-06 has more tire smoking power. You could buy a used NSX for about $32k and supercharge it and I think that could be the end of the discussion. :p

lol...I think the corvette can out perform the NSX in stock and tuner modes (lingenfelter). The Z06 is a masterpiece for the price.

Im not fond of most domestics, but a few shine above the rest...and the latest corvette is one of them. Honestly, I don't like Honda's...esp the NSX...only car I like from them is the Acura CL type-s...thats a great looking car...esp with the right stance and rims.
