Rear window sprayer question

I'm assuming something is wrong with mine, since it just shoots out a straight jet of water, and not a fanlike spray like the front. But thought I'd ask before I have the dealer look at it, does everyone else's rear wiper sprayer produce a 'fan' like spray, or just a jet of water?

Yeah the rear sprayer sucks ass. Anyone know how to replace it with something that sprays?

Well if you can retrofit a finer nozzle and higher flow pump, perhaps.

oh OK interesting, I don't even really care, I just assumed it was broken, because I thought, why wouldn't it spray like the front one does :)

Good to know.

I really think its because while travelling at highway speeds a spray would not get much on your window but the car behind you.

Interesting point. I do remember seeing typical wind tunnel tests of SUVs and there is this swirling eddy current in the back that might affect a finer spray. But in reality, how much do you use the rear washer when 99% of the driving from most people is on paved roads.

Did you try putting your thumb over it because I do that when I want to control the garden hose.

Ha! I used the rear wiper washer the other day, and my wife was not only surprised to see a jet of fluid spraying out, but also surprised to see that there is a rear wiper on the back glass. LOL!
