Rear window not opening from driver panel

Hi,
I have a 2007 Mazda 6 Estate and have noticed recently that the passenger rear window will not respond to the master control panel on the driver's door. The window itself still works fine from the switch on the rear passenger door but not from the driver's controls. All other windows do still work from the driver's door. Also just noticed that when all windows are activated by using the central locking remote device, this window does not respond whereas the other three do.

Anyone come across this before?

Thanks

Thanks,
I have tried this already but can't seem to get the rear window to re-engage the auto-up/down action which appears to be the step towards getting the driver's panel to re-engage. Anything else I should do, other than keep trying the instructions in the manual?

(Is it just me or is this ability to configure the action of the windows a really useless feature? I have children who constantly are holding the switch up or down for longer than they should and, as such, changing the behaviour of the windows. I've also had a few mornings coming out to find all four windows have been opened by my children via the remote control!)

have you tried beating your kids more?

Very tempting... To be fair they don't mess with the windows that much. It's just I would rather they didn't have the ability to mess anything up. I'm not sure I see why it is useful to be able to remotely open or close all four windows. To me it's just a feature crying out to be abused.

I'm guessing your kids are playing with it, and that's causing the issue. Make sure when you reset the global window function that you put it down about halfway, then put it back up. If that doesn't work, pull the battery terminal, then re-program all the windows after reattaching it.

do you know how to reprogram it? cause its very easy

From what I've heard so far the advice seems to be to:

1) disconnect and reconnect the battery
2) Reprogram each window starting with the driver's door, then the front passenger, then the rear passenger then the rear driver
3) reprogramming seems to entail bringing the window fully down, then fully up and holding the button up until a click is heard

Does that about sum it up?

Yep. Try each window before pulling the battery, then if that doesn't work, do it again.
