it will work, but its like $200.. can of bbq paint is $10.... they look nice, but as with any stick on parts, they tend to peel off over time. which then looks like crap.

its one of my favorite mods, do it!

pro5x2 what the heck kinda lights do you have for your license plate lights! jeez there bright

heres my beauty, and a pic of the process

Mine has held up great so far...almost 25,000 miles in five months...

seems like everyone wants to do it... fish def do it. if mercedes have black valences so should we.

Scratch- how did you do yours sand ?primer? which paint and clear?

Ok, I'm confused and drove my BMW today, so I can't walk out and look...

Someone said to buy the CF piece. Uh, does that mean this piece can be taken off of the rear bumper?

It can on my BMW (they also make a CF replacement), but I thought it was one-piece on the Pro5. Or is that guy talking about an "overlay?" I'm asking because if this piece can be take of the Pro5, why wouldn't you take it off the car and sand/prime/paint/clear as opposed to masking off the whole back end?

no its a real CF overlay

we r painting the area inside the recess on the bumper itself

speaking of which, did u guys paint into the crevice?
I am thinking about where to make the edge to mask off.

imola, it's basically a CF peel and stick. It's a real CF mold that you put double sided tape on the inside and just sitck it to the bumper.

Crazee D, on both mine, i did paint into the crevice. I think it's more of a "completed" look to be honost.

but i think it looks kinda dumb. I mean, they made it look like a seperate peice, really for no reason, so, i think it should have been painted from the factory.

But, that's my $.02

Take it for what it's worth

Resistance is futile...
