I'd like to tackle changing out my rear sway bar bushings, is this an easy job to do on a P5? i have access to some ramps and tools to do the job any help would be appreciated.

should be very easy if your bolts arent seized or corroded. all you should need is a 14mm socket and if your car isnt lowered you wont need ramps or a jack.

Would i need a torque wrench to tighten the bolts down properly?
I've read you should grease them as well?

i've never used a torque wrench to tighten them and have never had any problems, but i'm sure there's a torque setting in the service manual. and yes always grease the bushings before installation, i use white lithium grease.

It's 32-44 lbs of torque for the bracket that secures the bushings:

I'm thin enough that I was able to crawl under the rear and change them out without jacking the car up. Took about 30 minutes.

all depends on rust as mentioned above. IIRC when doing this if it is rusty pb blaster the crap out of it before you try!!! When I attempted mine, I just went straight at it and eventually stripped the bolt because of the rust. Had to take it to mechanic for them to cut it! other than that... was pretty straight forward!

i went to my local auto parts store to pick up the bushings but they asked what trim level it was DX, LX.. i did not know there was a trim level other than its a 2.0L, can anyone help me out.
