I recently purchased a Delsing Klunk Bracket and after some test fitting noticed that it would be easy to reproduce.

I am considering a change to the design (better for install and lighter in weight) and would be interested in knowing how many people would be interested.

Preliminary discussions with a manufacturer would suggest that I could have these made and shipped for close to the $200.00 mark.

I am wondering how many people would buy one?

Please vote in the poll.

Not sure what a Delsing Bracket is, go here http://www.delsingmotorsport.com/mazda.htm

I'd buy if you're talking under the $200 mark shipped with everything needed to install (poly bushings, bolts, etc.), not approaching it from "above" it.

What do you mean by "above it" ??

I think the poly bushing should be bought by the end user.

The poly bushing issue is definately debatable. When I got my delsing bracket it had nothing with it and I needed to go out and find bushings and bolts locally. Not hard to locate but a pain in the butt non-the-less.

If I went ahead with this, provided there was some serious interest, I think I would make it available with or without bushings. I also know that the non-greasable bushings are better quality and would limit the choice to probably just that and only in black which are also better then the red ones. The color is not important as the bushings would not be noticable unless you got run over.

I was lucky enough to find an energy suspension supplier in town and have already worked out a deal to get a discount if the bushings were bought in bulk.

I hope people realize how important this is to our cars... especially the people who live in colder climates, they seem to have a harder time with the clunk...

you all screamed for somebody to make them so here is your actual chance to make the difference and get these made

Yeah it is very important, I wish I had a set of those brackets right now , I went to go lube the bushings the other day b.c the clunk was horrible, found out that one of the bolts had sheered off. So now I have to get it drilled out and I have been driving without a rear sway all week..it is no fun in the rain lol

Does anyone know if this will fit with an AWR 21.5 sway bar? I have the MP3 subframe as well. If this will fit without clearance problems, I would buy one for sure.

Which sway bar did you get, the Mazdaspeed or Protege version? Also, if you post a pic with it on your car I may have a better idea if what I am proposing would work for you.

I have the Mazdaspeed version bar. (sorry the pics are so big.)
This would be so awesome if I could get one of these to work with my set up!

I would love to purchase this, but right now money is tight so I will have to pass.
If you do decide to produce this I can tell you that once I have the money I would purchase a kit for sure.

I too would purchase one of these if you decided to go ahead and make them but I would have to wait till I had some extra money.

Considering how much this helps the car, I'd say $200, even before bushings and shipping, is reasonable.

If I had the spare cash (I don't right now), I'd pick up a backup set for sure. Even though the original ones are built like tanks, I'd like to know I could replace them if there was a wreck or something.

They should definitely be powder coated. When I moved them from the MP3 to the MSP, I noticed a lot of the original paint had flaked off and they were rusting. I had them powder coated before reinstalling them.

Didn't someone actually buy the plans for these to put them in production? Whatever happened to them?

Yes, I bought all of Delsing's designs and have the rights to produce them. Curently there was a CAD file missing when everything was being transferred to me so that has delayed my timeline. I am shooting for a spring production date once everything gets re-drawn.

hey o.g. sk8er, i have the same tires as you, do you like them?

There are alright, not great. But, I'm used to Falken Azines, so these cant really compare with the Falkens. But I do like them in the rain. Seems like a decent tire, but kind of loud on the freeway. How about you? You like 'em?
