For those who have them, how do like it? Can you tell a difference in just everyday driving? Or just at you track days...
I'm thinking of building one for my wagon...

MX-6 rr stb for 25.00 shipped that fits our cars doesn't make it worth my time to make one but if you have tons of free time & the materials/tools to make one then yeah, go for it. It's just a little somethin somethin to help out instead of going full blown with the gtspec trunk cage deal. That would seem to be overkill for street IMO.

I installed mine and couldn't really tell much of a difference. That was before I replaced bad shocks and springs though, so I donno. Looks spiffy thought :D I bought mine for like $20 shipped on ebay. It's not fancy, but it holds the spot for later when I do get something fancy!

I'm not sure if I've noticed a difference. Sometimes I think it feels different, sometimes not. Maybe it's just a placebo effect.

Mine is for an Mx-6 and it fit perfectly. As for install jack up the back end to get the tires off the ground, so when you let it down the top of the struts will put pressure on the bar. The result that I noticed was more turn in and the back finally felt like it was doing someting instead of just going along for the ride.

I originally installed the bar without jacking the rear end up. I then read that some people said you should jack up the rear and re-install the rear strut tower bar. But honestly, afterwards it made zero difference in my P5.

No difference...it just holds my sub box down...

Well I decided to go ahead and make one... I will post some pics soon. Im going a little different than most, simple is the plan. & I guess if doesnt work as it should, it will look pretty lol, its not like track time is in my future...

I do appreaciate eveyones posts!

So heres the start...
These are the seat belt strap risers that I modified.
I will be bolting them down flush to the tower, instead of having them on top of the strut nuts. Thats why I rasied the the belt stand up almost a half inch, then welded the quater inch stock piece to it to bolt the bar in place. They are sandblasted in the pic. Im having them powdercoated black.
I will post more soon , but you can kind of see the way im going.

more up dates...
I know its over kill but it will look beefy as heck in there lol

The bar is just a little over a 1in dia, .120. wall stainless steel, with 5/8-24 threads... and 5/8's bolts to attach it to the brackets.

Should have the tower brackets back from powder coat today. So maybe install this weekend. Just hope I dont cut the hole to big in my side plastic panel.
Trying to decide if Im going to black my head's out this week too.....

I agree, the only reason I did was because I had it jacked up so I could put my lowering springs on. Originally I had put it on without jacking it up and it didn't really change anything.

Its Done!
