rear strut bar....

Hey guys, i was wondering what you think.... would it help if i cut into my trunk and put in a rear trunk strut bar.... i would look pretty cool..... i dont know though....also would a universal or stock pro5 front strut bar work???

Imho it will help, it did on my Probe anyway. Just be careful when you cut the holes in your interior panels, if you cut in the wrong place it looks awful. I hod to go get 2 Universal CV boots and put on mine to make it look better.:D

my friend has a shop that i can do some work in, so i got the tools to do it right... now the question is will i do it right and make it looks good.

wish me luck guys!!!!

If you have a Protege sedan you don't need a rear strut tower bar. There is already one there, it is part of the frame. That part you want to cut out is the strut tower bar...Don't remove that metal, it is an integral part of the frame of the car!

The Protege 5 could use one, and there is already one available from JIC Magic I believe, contact Rishie of ARD for info on that...

yeah im looking for the rear strut tower bar.. i know about the lower strut bar.. the one under the car. where can i find the tower bar and the lower strut bar.....

thanks

are you thinking of the sway-bar maybe...if so look at the lower tabs on the struts by the wheel, follow the end-links down..the bar thats attached to the other end of the end-link is the rear sway-bar.

We're actually importing the Autoexe rear strut bar. It is expensive though as any gray market JDM product. Let me know if you're interested.

As far as I know JIC hasn't released theirs. The Coilovers should be here next week however.

Thanks, Rishie

performance wise the rear sway bar from SR Motorsports is great - stiff as hell and flat like a car on rails. Check it out.
