Rear quarter panel rust

I have a 2003 Protege5 with the classic rear quarter panel rust. I know it will be costly to cut out the metal/replace/paint. Is there a inexpensive wheel well trim kit to cover it up in the meantime to make it look just a bit more presentable?

These are available...

You have to weld them in though...

They also have special glue to help...

I was thinking cheaper. Perhaps rubber or plastic trim pieces/flares.
