Rear noise and tire wear or "chop"

I took my Speed 3 in because of loud road noise in the rear. They replaced the bearings in both wheels but also said that there is an unusual amount of wear or "chop" on the inside of both rear tires causing most of the noise. Any idea what this is about?

First off, Wrong section... You said your "speed3" and you posted in CX-7 area...

Need moAr info. How many miles on the car? Lowered? Stock suspension? I would check your struts tho. Especially if you have aftermarket springs.

Rear Tire Chop

Oops. Sorry for posting in the wrong section. Miles on the car 36,000. Everything on the car is the way it was when I bought it new from the dealer.
