Rear Left Axle dead

So last week I had a rear left axle die on me. Problem is I can't seem to find a replacement that isn't stupidly expensive. Obviously the dealers have them, but I was looking for an aftermarket reporduction.

Anyone have any ideas on who makes one?

thats easy, no one, what would you even need the aftermarket axle for? no one even comes close to testing the axles limits on this car, the clutch will vaporize long before then, and if u do get a stronger clutch ur only going to degrade the drivability even more

sadly, yes. your only option is to find OEM shops. there are quite a few you can find just googling for OEM MAZDA parts.
there are a few that you can check that might carry axles, generally they are marked down a bit, but often these places have mostly trim/body type replacement parts.
