rear end came loose under heavy braking

today i was driving on the freeway and had to stop suddenly due to traffic not moving at all ... so i broke hard because i didn't have much distant and my rear end came loose and swung out. I was able to catch it, but i never had a car in my life that did that under heavy braking ... even though that any car that i had before would have just rear ended the car in front of me in the same situation .. but geez this does not feel right. I heard of other people on this forum experiencing the same thing. Is this something that mazda needs to fix?

Short answer: no, it's not something Mazda needs to fix. It is both a consequence of the Mazdaspeed3's more aggressive handling characteristics and still controllable.

Did you have DSC/TSC off at the time this happened?
