Rear door speakers?

So if I go buy a set of 5 1/4 components I can put the 5 1/4 in the rear doors and the tweeters up front on the A pillar? I need somthing to help balance out my JL 15w3.

Yeah you can leave it the way it is and save your self some money to. there is no reason to do that. you should put the 5 1/4 in the front door. and then put the tweet on the a pillar. I woudl put it on the door by the sail panel. the imagining woudl be all messed up ifyou put the mid in teh back and the tweet in teh front.

i thought the cut outs for the front and rear doors were 6.5 not 51/4, at least that's what i remember when i took them apart.

They may be I cant measure right now. Can I just add the front tweeters and leave the rest alone?

I just finished installing a pair of tweeters next to the A pillar ( is that what people refer to as the sail pillar?).

For $50 CDN for a pair of no name speakers the results were fantastic. It gave the sound a lot more clarity and brought everything forward in the car.

I would highly recommend this to anyone with an MP3.

the speakers in the front doors are like 5x7/6x8 not 51/4. 51/2's will fit because I did 61/2.
