Rear Caliper

I need a hand with my rear brakes.

A friend who is a technician was going to change my rear pads and rotors for me when he ran into a problem. He went to push the piston into the caliper, but was unable to get it to stay in place.

Do I need to buy a special tool? Is there a DIY somewhere that will clear this up?

Thanks in advance for the help

There's a 14mm bolt on the back of the caliper that, you'll notice, doesn't actually bolt anything in place. Take that bolt off. There's an allen screw behind there that works gears internal to the caliper to retract the piston.

Once you're done w/ the brake job, simply rotate that screw clockwise to snug the pad back up to the rotor... I generally did all the way tight then back 1/3 turn. The calipers and hand brake will self adjust from there after a couple days.
