Rear bumper Guard/Bar/Protector

Hi All,

This is my first post to this forum. I currently live in NYC and have a CX-9T. I've searched everywhere and can't find a suitable bumper protector for this SUV. I've seen bumper bully, but was interested in a steel one for the rear bumper.

Any suggestions suitable for street parking???

I also park on the street in NYC. I've had the CX-9 since October with no noticable bumper damage. As a street-parker I know this won't last. I also know that whatever happens to the bumpers won't be nearly as bad as the first sideswipe I'm sure to get at some point. I know several people with the Bumper Bully but that only gets your rear. I've also seen every sort of bar but I think they would just look silly on the CX-9. Also, you lose a couple precious inches for fitting into those tight spots.

For what it's worth, the bumper damage I've had over the years is nothing compared to the damage received when I parked in an NYC garage. Those guys must have been using the bumpers as brakes.

Did anyone ever suggest any bumper guards or such to you guys, I have same issue.

I suggest a trailer hitch with about a 7-9 inch riser locked in place. If someone bumps you they won't come back for seconds.

As new owner too,i'm also searching for bumper guard, there is shop located in queens,ny ( vanguardoffroad.com ) does sell it, but i called them, they said they don't have it now, call back in 2 week.
