Rear Brake Pads Rubbing with EBC Rotors

Extra parts?

Hi I am changing my front brake pads for my first time on my 2005 MPV. Along with my replacment brake pads I got a bag with what sort of looks like springs but I am not sure where they go. The folks at Autozone were not sure either so I am wondering if they are extra parts. Here is a link with parts I am referring to. Any help is appreciated. thanks.

both rear calipers on my car just took a dump on me last week....

It does sound like you have calipers hanging up, try replacing one, see what happens.

whoa, after taking a second look. you still have the stock rear calipers.

when i replaced mine, mazda has updated the brakes of these cars, the are now normal push-back plungers. you still have the stock screw-backs, so i'd say one if not both have locked up like mine did.

i have the extact same problem with my ebc rotors and green pads

i had the same problem when i replaced the front pads on my bike with ebc pads. they actually warped my rotors. which caused me to have to buy new ones. but its probably no caliper or spring or anything like that, its ebc their quality control has taken a dive and the pads were just manufactured a little too big, i found that out when i spoke to a dealer rep. i replaced both of my front rotors and got a different brand of pads and everything was well.
