Rear brake help please

Just replaced the rear pads and rotors back in March. I put the Mazda 6 pads on but I'm thinking the rotors were for a regular protege (autoparts stores are clueless). If I have the incorrect rotors would that cause extreme premature wear on the pads??? The pads lasted 3500 mi so if this is not the case then its the Calipers, which would royally suck seeing how it would be $800 to replace those. Anyone know of anyone that had calipers gone bad with only 50k miles. Thanks

Stock protege rotors are not the same as the MSP rear rotors.... I don't know what that would do for wear, but they're smaller than what should be on the car.

The 2000 V6 626 Rotors work for the front, but not the rear...unsure about pads....

took the wheel off to find the drivers side rear outer pad was the one causing all the problems. it was completely worn down to the metal. what would cause this pad to wear faster than the others 3 in the rear???
