My 03.5 when engaging the clutch from a dead stop, say at a light, rattles sometimes. Now i know it happens from poor foot work now and again, but im coming up on my warranty due date and am curious if anyone else has this problem. In past cars of mine this has happend but they were all bombed out, and didnt think should happen on a new car..What may the problem be and can i fix it or adjust it.. Thanks for the input.

P.S. whos got DaveB rings and how do i get them.

Yes, it's a common problem that the dealer knows about. There is a TSB (technical service bulletin) out on it. I doubt they will fix it if you are almost out of warranty though. I couldn't get the dealer to do it at 30K on mine.

Also, try searching, you will find all your answers....

it sound like a linkage thing, i know it not coming from the tranny. It happens almost just before ya might stall it due to poor foot work with the pedals.

u sure it not a heat shield at all, cuz with stock motor mounts engine can move a bit and maybe a heat shield is lose

my heat shield did this. one of the screws vibrated loose, so it made a loud noise whenever the engine vibrated a lot (like at low RPMs)

i get a bad shake or chatter with my clutch sometimes when i'm starting out in 1st gear. It kinda feels like a motor mount is broken or something, i dunno. It's a 2003.5

Mike R, do you know offhand if the TSB applies to a 03.5? I thought it was for 02's and earlier.
