a LOT of things need to be worked on..

right now im just using here as a info source.. im using promazda from now on and building my community there..

i have seen a constant decrease in quality on here in the past years...
i think a lot of it has to do with new members and the lack of authority of the high up people ...

but there are good mods here ...

how come i am overlooked in all these mod threads? oh well, i'll keep working away over here in my dark corner.

and mazdamp3_18, things are changing. and there is no lack of authority, if anything, we have a little too much.hehe

no problems with any of the mods, sure some can be smartass' sometimes but cant we all. i agree that asign of a good mod is not even noticing some of the stuff they do like moving posts. keep up the great work and if you ever need a mod for the KY section let me know, at least there i could only piss of a few people, j/k

the mods are ok i guess i dont have any problems and just keep to certain sections....how do u go about becoming one?..im interested but i know prolly wont happen

I see that sometimes some mods forget what their job is as a mod is. They post their own feelings instead of being a mod. This is a problem if you ask me. The job of the mods are to keep the peace. Their job is not the cause problems and or take sides. I know it is hard to not add their own feelings to the forum, but if it only causes more problems then they are not doing their job.

Some times they like to be rude or insult people. Than when you call them on it they try to make example out of you. Sence they are a modirator are they allowed to be rude?

I want to change my vote to a 0. Seriously - can the mods F*CK up the MSP section ANY MORE than they already have?! They basically killed it with implementing subforums and very few posts were being made, and now they shut down the "general" section completely! This was all after promising 9 MONTHS ago that the general section would show ALL the threads....yet that never happened and instead now we're to a point where it allows NO new threads! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH...I love the chaos that is caused by bad ideas and stubborn people.(deadhorse

I'd like to thank Ghostwhisperer for doing a great job w/the FS stuff. A growing trend on this forum is selling or "gauging interest", and I think he's doing wonderful about enforcing the thread rules. I think it's helped keep the community together.

As for other mods, I see them every now and then. I guess it's nice but at the same time, I hate reading through pages and pages of flamewars, which is happening right now in some threads...

Just my .02

I'm glad to see feedback on the Mods around here...and I'm happy to know that Ghostwhisperer is getting the job done!

About the flamewars...care to elaborate? I'd like to see some examples...Thanks!

I agree that certain mods often come off as rude and controlling. I understand that they often take a lot of s***, but in my opinion a moderator position should be treated like a job. Moderators shouldn't take sides on arguments or join in with name-calling. For most mods this would probably would require lower participation in thread discussions, but if they can't make that sacrifice, I don't think they should be a mod.

I've seen plenty of threads with mods getting hot-headed and simply fueling the bickering. While the occasional non-sensical flamewar is entertaining, I don't think the representives of this forum should be promoting them. I think Goldwing does a great job monitoring and representing the forum while keeping personal beliefs out of it.

In terms of doing their actual jobs, I'd say they do pretty good work.

Thanks man I try.

I do think sometimes I bit a couple more things off then i could chew...but heh

i think the mods have done a good job overall. i dont seem to recall any recent "scammed" threads or unneccesary 'over-moderating.'

my only suggestion would be to have a limit set for forum rules violations. as many have probably read, i have been trying to get my sig back for a short while now-to no avail. had i know i would have PERMANENTLY lost it, i would have made more of an effort to abide by the policy. i am not trying to b****, or start trouble, it is merely a suggestion. this way, everyone is aware of the repercussions of their actions.

for example:

sig violation = 1 or 2 month sig ban
posting nudity = 1 day ban
links to NSFW sites w/o caution = 1 day ban
and so on....

i have thought that sometimes a few mods were rude, and i thought about it for awhile... they probably deal with the same shtuff day in day out... so they may get fed up. i can understand that.

on a personal note, i used to have an issue with Kooldino, but in retrospect, he was doing his mod duties when he pissd me off by doing what he did.

so i publicly apologize to Kooldino.

my issue is with punk-ass members, but we'll save that for another thread. :)

I guess i didnt get up in time for that, just took care of it man. I want everyone to know it is hard to catch all of them all the time, i am usually gone on the weekends and tekkie is really busy too, but i think we are doing a good job at what we are suppose to do.

And i hope the majority is satisfied with the small amount of protection we offer. Tekkie and Ghosts Gambino safety plan! (fight)
