Good? Good?

Are any of them good?

To me they all sound like complete and total crap, and I just don't understand how anyone with any type of musical taste would listen to it.

Just for the pure bump factor...at least for me....

I do also listen to alot of Linkin Park and other altenative bands...
As well as my share of J-Pop beacauce I am a Japanese

blah.. are you looking for a list of good hip-hop or trendy rap? it would appear the latter..

want to hear something good, try early to mid 90s hip-hop flavor.. back when those sellouts you listed were still in diapers..

souls of mischief
jeru the damaja
guru / gangstarr
casual
del (the funkee homosapien)
lords of the underground
das efx early stuff
mobb deep early stuff (the infamous)
the loot pack
alkaholiks
krs-one

also there is a major difference between rap & hip-hop, and I can't stand it when someone like p diddy is considered hip-hop.. blahh.. try bumblegum rap instead. hahaha.

Actually, a lot of those mentioned are good if you like rap. The only people that knock it is those that can't follow it. I'm starting to gte tired of it myself now though too. I'm sick of buying a CD expecting to here some rapping, and end up with them singing, or having women singing in their songs. What a load of bulls***. If I wanted to hear a chick sing, I'd take my ass over to the R&B aisle and pick up something.
Lately I've been getting more into alternative stuff though. I guess it's just time for a change of pace.

i listen to pretty much everything.. depends on what kinda mood i'm in. some people just have different tastes and you gotta respect that. some ppl dont like rap and thats cool, for me its its gospel, r&b, stuff like that. btw linkin park is awesome.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Most of these are not your normal commercialized Rap artists. Most of these are true Hip Hop artists without any single "radio" hits, but lots of mix tape hits. Ones value lyrical skills more than a new BMW.

Finally someone else who can appreciate real hip hop music. You all MUST get the Gang Starr greatest hits CD. It's called "Full Clip - a Decade of Gang Starr" It is so good and you'll see how Guru's style has influenced everything you hear on the radio today.

Also the newest KRS One compilation is good too. Forget the name though.

I forgot aboyut Lords of the Underground - Funky Child was one of my favorite old time jams
