I'm getting sick of this. Current gas prices are 180.4 cents per liter. Which is equivalent to a litle over 7$ per gallon. Yes 7$ a gallon for regular unleaded gas here. This is disgraceful.

shut up will, those prices are insane.

Us paying more like what the rest of the world pays? DISGRACEFUL.

Buying an RX-8 (which drinks gas like I do Mountain Dew) and complaining about gas prices? DISGRACEFUL.

Well you better get your Gas now....before the weekend, because when Rita Hits, $5.00 is what you will be paying!!!

Say what you want, but I dont drive a lot every year. I dont do more than 22000 kilometers per year on 2 cars. Besides aviation I dont have many hobbies and that's why I bought the RX-8.

Everyone topping off their tanks is what causes the gas shortage dipshit.

LOL, this is for people who have near empty tanks, and need to fill up..I see nothing wrong with that. Would you rather them pay $5.00 a gallon and be stuck for the weekend?...not everyone can afford high gas prices...but see unfortunately in the USA..you have to drive.

Public transportation isn't as efficient as other countries....Trust me..I was dependant upon Public transportation for a long time....on the weekends it sucks.

Get it low...before it gets high make sense to me. oh yeah and you are a little b****, just had to add that in...you are the weakest link KBYETHNX!!!(gtfo)

Oh yeah, and because Oil refineries can Dig elsewhere, we have other stations in the united states, losing one won't hurt us too much...Oil Companies are simply just running scams, and feeding off of panic...It's Disgraceful, because Prices don't need to be that high here....

Listen up, fuckwit, if everyone waited till they needed gas and filled up normally there wouldn't be gas shortages outside of the areas that were cut off by the hurricanes. If everyone topps off their tanks and starts filling up their gas cans that will cause a gas shortage and that will raise prices. If that doens't happen, the price of gas won't go up.

Top off your tank, and all your reserve tanks, while it's low to cause a shortage and drive the price up for everyone, makes sense to me if I was a selfish American who can't think.. Wait, that's you. Sorry.

P.S. Awesome zinger from the Weakest Link, I see you got your time machine to take you back to 2000 when that 'joke' might have been relevant.

Dig elsewhere.. Like where?* We have already started re-drilling sites that were previously deemed empty. It's taking a lot more energy to get the oil out of the ground than it was not very long ago. There's no more oil being made, and we are using it all up. This is what I don't think you understand, we will see the end of oil in our life times. The party's about up, and it's going to get REALLY expensive.

Also: High here? Why is America so special we get cheap gas? Welcome to living on the planet Earth, gas is expensive.

*Like in the Alaskan nature preserves too? Too late. (headshake

Hurricanes destroy the oil stations out in the water. Not only that but the companies remove all thier workers from the rigs for safety. So production stops. Simple economics....

Less Supply + Same (Or Increase) Demand = Higher Prices

I love the fact by law in a time of crisis nothing is alowed to raise the prices except gas. In texas for the past week you are only alowed $30 worth of gas here at one station and another only let you get $20. I understand the fact if you drive an suv $20 is like just enought to get you 2 blocks, but if you are told to leave your home and idle your SUV on the highway for god knows how long then How much gas is $20? I'm like the only person I know that never lets my tank get below half or even 3/4.

The price of gas rises in a crisis because the cost of crude rises. The gas stations aren't making any extra money (well, the crooked ones do). I don't feel sorry for the people in their SUVs running out of gas in grid locked traffic, I don't feel sorry at all.
