Rally2003's Build Thread

^ DAMNNNNN!!!!! Well, at least you were able to take care of it relatively quickly.

WE NEED PICTURES OF THE 255's FITTED!!!!!

Will do next weekend. I have to throw the front bumper, hood, and a fender on and she'll be good to go until I make the fenders.

Not yet. I have 3 weeks to get the car fully ready for my first SCCA event of the year. It will probably happen in May. Unless I get some more free time in the next couple weekends.

Got here all back together yesterday and decided to take her for a ride in the country before making the 60 minute journey back to the apt. Melted a fuel injector wire this time and blew another fuse. So I unclipped the wiring harness on the side of the road and wrapped it back on top of the intake manifold for now. Fired right back up and now running an open down pipe for the next day or 2 until the shop welds the flange on the other pipe. The car feels so much more responsive. The powersteeing is fixed as well and feels tighter than before. Just waiting for the rear Enkei's to show up in the mail and will take those in to get mounted.

Went to go take the 12 ton press out of the box and put it together and found out the store gave me a winch setup for a flatbed pickup. Took that back and they swapped it out so this coming weekend I'll hopefully have the front wheel bearings replaces along with the interior, whole dash setup, and coilovers adjusted for the race wheel/tire setup. Then I'll have to check over the bushings and probably adjust the rear endlink to allow a little bit more play, because I think I'm going to have a lot more rotation than before with the meaty tires in the front. If anything I might just leave them alone for this event and adjust them after to see how much rotation I'll have and figure out how much I'll have to back it down.

Im gonna have to come out to this TMP event to witness the 255's in action

Hopefully she will do well have have now winter break issuses. I'm trying to work out all the bugs now and put some miles on her before I race in 2 more weeks. The car looks like crap, but drives so good right now. Quick smooth acceleration and plenty of moves in the handling department. I'm really curious on how these tires are going to grip. I might have to bring them up to Toledo and run them around for a day just to break them in. Otherwise I can see myself spinning all over the place on the first couple runs.

Your more than welcome to stay over too if you don't feel like making the drive back and forth in one day.

I just dropped off the exhaust this morning and they told me a day or two and they just called me 5 minutes ago saying it is done. SWEET! Dropping by tomorrow to pick it up and hopefully have it installed and ready to go later in the day.

Picked up my exhaust from the welders today. Looks great. Just need to buy a couple SS nuts and bolts from Menards and hook the AFR sensor in and O2 sensor back up. I'm also getting really tires of the airbag light flashing at me 6 times then 2 pauses and then another 6 flashes followed by 2 pauses... Then I'll just have to figure out what abs wheel sensor isn't getting power and no more CEL lights. It has had CEL's ever since I bought her 6 years ago. I'm suprised they just haven't burned out from being on so long.

I just pulled the cluster and removed the bulbs when I swapped seats around. lulz.

I need to get on that because I still need to hard wire the 2 main cluster bulbs that don't work and I'll need to wire the bulbs for the boost, oil pressure, and afr guages.

anything! this thread is useless without pics

I'll go take some with my phone real quick hold on. I wish there was a way just you upload them from the computer or phone instead of having to go through a 2nd party website. Hold on, I'll be back in 5 minutes.

I use Picasa, which is really convenient if you have an Android phone. One-touch upload, and it's essentially a free image backup. My phone also sync's with my Picasa account so I can remove all the pictures from my phone yet still quickly access them. The picture-linking function on the forums isn't too bad.
