rain-sensing wipers

Hello,

The automatic wipers aren't operating as I was expecting the owners manual has shown me how to switch them to intermittent, but I was hoping not to have to do that.

A few things I was hoping people could say "Mine don't do that"

1) Almost 0 difference between the max amt of rain and the least on the switch. Light drizzel, the wipers go same time, no matter what setting every ~4 seconds.

2) If the windows are hazy inside or out, the wipers just keep on going

Any thoughts on the matter?

My intermittent wipers have been working better than expected. I do agree there should be a bigger difference between max and min but it seems to work pretty well on any setting and I've been driving in all kinds of rain and snow here in Washington State the last few months.

I particularly like the fact that the wipers swipe immediately when a truck in the oncoming lane pelts you with a big splash of water (when it's not otherwise raining). There is not the delay that I would have expected. I haven't noticed that they keep wiping when wiping is not necessary. Are you sure you didn't accidentally have them turned to "on" instead of "auto"?

That's normal. It was like that on my Mazda 5. I only switch to intermittent when it's raining hard and the wipers don't swipe fast enough.

Working fine here in the UK and it never stops raining here! Had them on my Nissian Qashqai and they were awful!
