Radio stays on when ignition is turned off

I had this problem once or twice last winter, and I thought it was possibly due to the winter time. However searching this forum, I found some CX7 guys were having the same issues. Turns out it was when they used a power inverter....today I used a inverter. Thought it was intresting anyone else having this problem. Here is the report from one of the cx7 guys

does it happen even after you have removed the inverter? if so have you tried the 2nd 12v aux power in the arm rest compartment?

Could be drawing too much power away from the radio when using the one below the radio (must be connected into the radios wiring.)

Or even hard wire the inverter to bypass all the other wiring.

Im going to remove it when I leave for work and see what happens. The problem went away for them when they removed it. Im guessing its because I ran it off the front one. The rear one could be on a separate circuit.

removed the inverter and car is fine.
