radio removal....

Ok, I'm embarrassed to say this....but idc.
My stupid factory radio won't come out. I am an exparienced audio installer, but for some odd reason, my radio will not budge. I can get the right side loose, but the left is stuck somewhere....any ideas???

You are using the factory stereo removal tools right? If not you can use cloth hangers to remove the stereo as well.

I was. Stupid thing came out after an hour of fiddling w it. Ima make a sticky bout it, cuz as I searched, not one was done.

Ah ok. I was going to suggest to try and pry side to side as it may get stuck. I believe mine did as well but with a little muscle it came out. Glad you got it out.

I got fed up with removing mine. I noticed that the thing isn't really mounted to anything so i mangled the front display and pulled the whole thing out. Mine didn't come with the removal tools so I had to improvise. I even made my own diagram of what wire is what for the head unit. if anyone needs it let me know ill upload it.
