Radio Removal Trouble

I am trying to pull the radio to install my new AuxMod (#1108 )

I removed the plastic pieces and have two sets of pull tools. I can get the passenger side to release and inch forward a bit but have had no luck on the driver's side. Anyone have any tips? Next step is probably the local dealership or audio shop and see if they would do it for me, but I would like to do it myself...

Had the same problem just twist pull work at it

Attack it from behind the dash.

Also try popping out the bezel that says "multi-function audio" where the MD player goes so that you can get a better grip on the unit. Make sure the tools on the left are seated correctly and then push tools toward the driver and passenger doors (outward) with one hand while pulling with the other. It takes some coaxing, but it will work.

From the back was the way to go - could see theretaining spring and get a bit of leverage on the backside of the unit.

i had the same problem, i had to remove the entire dash cover to remove the radio
