You don't need a kit persay, but you should make something to seperate the units and secure to the sides of the dash below the bezel. The factory available bar found on the MSP and the MP3 would be the way to go in my opinion. Its cheap, already built and is a perfect fit.

You can find the part number in my sticky on wire harness and dash kits.

ill get some bettr pics soon but i probably need what 1sty was talking about because they both fit in well enough alone without a indash kit or radio kit but they need something to keep them in place or seperated. right know there both secure but there is space between the dvd player and the dash so u can see the wiring behind it. i tried looking around but i couldnt find one made for the protege 5. does anyone know where i could get this piece?

thanks

1sty is right. Beat me to it.
You'll need 2 paper clip fasteners and 2 short screws too. The kind that come with older speaker install kits?
Looks kind of like this:

I made a plate out of 1/8" steel, then made a matching one out of textured black plastic from a radio shop. Lets me put whatever I want in then, and it bolts right in where the radio used to, in the 2 bolt holes on either side of the radio.
