Radio has Static When Not in HD

Anyone else having this issue? When my radio is on and not in HD radio, there is static in the background of the radio station.

I am able to 100% duplicate this;

When I change radio stations, there is about a 5-10 second lag when it is not in HD and the station has static in the background of whatever is on. When the HD indication lights up fully, the static stops.

This was never an issue before and it only started a few days ago. Has anyone else experienced this? I had my bluetooth module replaced over a month ago to the latest version that corrected the USB starting on the first track, but this problem is only 3-4 days old.

Before I go back to the dealer, anyone have any thoughts on why this is happening or has anyone else experienced this?

2014 GT with only 12,600 miles.

I have not (yet?) experienced this, unless you're referring to the standard static when the station is close to being out of range?

Edit: nevermind, totally different audio system between the two cars. I'm sure someone with a pre-'16 can jump in.

The problem has apparently fixed itself, maybe it was an issue with the transmitting stations.

I drive the same route every day to and from work and alternate between a few stations. Being in NYC, there are no dead or weak spots that I know of for the stations I listen to.

It sounded like static and/or a low buzzing sound in the background of stations, but it was not like the volume of the stations was going in and out, the volume stayed steady, there was no loss of signal interrupting what was playing. It was just added static/buzzing on top of a normal radio broadcast.

It happened sporadically over the course of 4ish days, and I noticed it the most when there was a delay in HD signal kicking in. It never did this before, but like I said, it seems to have stopped doing this for now, and radio stations come in perfectly clear

edit: there was also no buzzing or static when I played from a CD or USB stick, only from radio broadcasts. This would eliminate the speakers being a problem.

Multiple stations, at random times & sometimes the same time, it varied every time I commuted. 100.3,103.5, 95.5, 104.3.
