Radiator cap mazda cx5 2.2 diesel 2016
Dear all, with my best wishes to the new upcoming year, hoping you find the strength to make your choices and fight for the life that you want.
I own a Mazda cx5 2.2 diesel 2016, and whilst driving on a long steep hill, the engine's red high temperature engine came on twice momentarily. I stopped the car , checked the coolant level at the expansion tank and it was ok . Then I continued the trip connected the OBDII scanner and while the car was moving I could see the coolant temperature live, which on average was 95 to 100 degrees Celsius, but on another continuous hill it reached 110, 112, and 3 or 4 times 118 degrees Celsius and then dropped back to close to 100 C.
Is this normal situation or there is a problem. It should be noted that after the momentary observation of the 2 red coolant high temperature lights, I drove 60 kilometers on the National Highway until I got home safely. This morning I drived to a Mazda garage and realised some coolant liquids was missed whilst the expansion tank it was at the propel level. The owner of the garage told me maybe gasket head, or thermostat, or radiator. I was wondering why the coolant liquids did not return to the radiator to fill the missing coolant.
Any ideas? I don’t like to replace Japanese Mazda Thermostat.
