Radiator cap keeps releasing coolant

Right. The problem is that it's not sending overflow coolant to the reservoir.

wait send it back to the tank? so since the coolant is not being sent back to the tank cause its hot then my engine is far from being hot? lol! maybe the new cap is doing its job? @_@

I filled up the coolant reservoir/tank to full and I'm gonna see if it goes down substantially like it did last time.

What I was saying is that when the pressure in your radiator builds up to a certain level, your radiator cap is supposed to let it pass into the hose that leads to your overflow tank. My thinking was that if your cap is not holding pressure properly (due to a faulty seal), the coolant is not getting pushed into the overflow tank and is instead coming out all over your radiator.

Gotcha, I think that puts an end to this case :P I filled the tank up with some coolant and its been doing fine if it happens again, ima put the old cap back on.

And it's still leaking? If you're positive it's the cap, the new cap is bad. You could also try leaving the top off of the reservoir tank to see if it's a pressure issue.

mines good now. I was just asking if he fixed his issue as it sounded just like mine.
