Radar Detector?

Ok fair enough, but the other toxin levels in farm raised fish is definetely higher. I don't have time right now to read that article you posted, I'm about to walk out the door. But I will read it tomorrow at work for sure! lol

anyone know if the escort 9500ix or 9500i work with a mac for the internet database updates? ive been doing research on detectors for a long time, and this looks like the winner for me if i can update it through my mac, if not it kinda makes it stupid...
a good buddy had a v1 and it was awesome, but it went off ALL the time, and it go to the point where you just tuned it out which kinda defeats the purpose of a detector...
built in detectors are cool for stealth, but they are usually much more expensive and you are limited to only having it in that car...
i think the ultimate radar detector would be one pared with a nav system that showed you where the radar was coming from, and overlaid hotspots, speed/red light cameras, speed traps etc over the map...

My V1 doesn't go off "ALL the time," especially if in "Smart Logic" mode...it actually seems to do a pretty good job of tuning out most false alarms... (dunno)

exactly and the speed limits arent being changed because while cars may be getting better, drivers are still sucking on an equal level ...
Speed limits are set to the lowest IQ of the average driver. Most states will give a license to anyone with the $15, and use the tickets as additional revenue.

I coulda used a V1 this morning. Came around a corner on 495 and sitting on the side of the road was a state police cruiser. Had I been speeding I would have been screwed. Fortunately I set my cc to 70mph which isn't enough to get in trouble for (knock on wood).

sorta a side note.. but i noticed people have their detectors set up with the wire going up into the ceiling (rather having it hang down in front of the console.... how do u do that... and where is the wiring going??

Most of your higher end detectors will have a direct wire kit you can purchase ($25-$30 typically), and there is a walk through in the how-to section.

I didn't look at the pics, but I assume they have it hardwired to the power wire running to the lights on the headliner. Or if their Rearview mirror is powered, maybe they use that power wire.
