if the ractive is an N1 style design, it'll probably sound similar. though then again, the pitch may be slightly different and louder since you're running an NA setup.

N1 style generally refers to a straight through design. most of the popular mufflers fit this style...apexi N1 (that's where it came from i believe), 5zigen fireball, hks hi-power, blitz nurspec, tanabe racing medallion, etc. the greddy evo doesn't fit this style because it's not a straight line through the muffler, the path is offset.

which is why I believe greddy exhaust tend to be a bit louder, the offset makes for a little more turbulence.
Also the design of the muffler as a whole(from outside looks I mean) doesnt mean everything, if you look straight into most mufflers you will see a pattern of perforated holes on the inside of the pipe inside the muffler can. On my ractive the holes sorta look like the cross drilled holes on rotors where they arent in a straight line but curve slightly around the inside of the pipe while they go up.
I will see if I can finda way to do a sound clip of my ractive axle back. For just a description it is not nearly as loud as 90% of the mufflers I have heard on other cars as well as this one. It is a lower deeper sound starting straight from idle getting a little louder as it goes to about 4k or 4500rpm and then it basically flatlines and doesnt get louder than that, or it possibly does but the sound of the engine mutes it basically, so it doesnt geta drone or anything.
I need to find somethin to record sound and put in on my computer.

sorry for double post but u may want to pm KYMP5 as he is a Ractive Rep.
edit/ just listed to those greddy sound clips and the ractive is definately a smoother tone, just as deep, maybe sounds deeper cause it is smoother. it is also a little quieter I think.

i've actually never heard the greddy..i have heard the HKS and the others...my magnaflow is great..when its not rubbing against my bumper..greddy sound clip anyone? preferibly N/A
