Racing seats help

Just got universal racing seats, but when i took my seat out today i noticed that the univ slider brackets they gave me does fit but they are too wide apart like

and the seat i got is not that wide, any suggestions?? I am confused and dont want to pay like 300$ for install

universal brackets usually require some work to get to fit. so, either time to fabricate some brackets or get brackets made for the car/ seat.
