2002 soon to be boosted MP5, 2015 Fist
Just snagged a Racing Beat Sway bar. So i ordered MP3 poly bushings for the bar. My question is which endlinks am i looking for? Do i want MP3 endlinks or will the stock ones work, i just recently replaced them planning to sell them as soon as i get the other bar on. What is the proper length for end links, as I'm finding people online saying that they should be 7 1/4 or 8 1/2 just making sure,i do not get the wrong ones on accident. Thanks!

my quick search shows the part number for the rear endlinks to be B26R-28-170

MP3/MSP rear end links are LONGER than the stock ES/Protege5 rear endlinks. Be careful and compare the new end linnks to your old ones and make sure they are the right length. If you use the shorter Protege5 rear endlinks, you risk the rear sway bar flipping over and breaking something.

Here is a picture i took comparing the two:

Here is a thread showing what can happen when the sway bar flips:

Yea, I have that information, Are there any aftermarket non-adjustable grease-able ones that will work properly, thanks for the warning on the flip-flopping of the sway bar if you use the stock links for the p5 definitely good info!

I had good success using the OEM end links from Mazda when I had my Protege. I had an ES with an MSP rear sway bar, AXR clunk fix bracket kit, and I only had to install the OEM end links when I put the whole set on the car. Drove it like that for over 100,000 miles and never had to replace the end links.

Just make sure they are the right length, and you should get plenty of time out of them.

Just ordered the OEM bar, as well as all of the hardware to replace the lateral links and trailing arms as well When this is finished i can finally say that i have replaced every single suspension part on the car. Progress now i can finally relax, or try to. And start saving for a new car.
