How long before he's mobile again? How long is the recovery period once he's home?

he'll be walking around in the hospital, should have been walking last night, they told me before i left. they say generally 3-4 weeks off work, could be more, could be less, mainly because of weakness and getting used to eating smaller portions ... but i'm sure you'll see him at least by the July meet next weekend. i guess we'll know better once he's home how he progresses ...

funny you said that Bruce. My sister told me that she was trying to explain to my 8 year old nephew that Uncle Marlon was having surgery to make him smaller, and my nephew thought SHORTER!!! LOL

He's actually been OK ... he had his smartphone at least : ) and the TV here has enough good channels to keep him entertained ... we are waiting for the doc to come and take out the drain and then we are out of here! : )

Ok guys, lost 16.5 lbs since July 3 and I can have soft foods, yogurt, mashed potatos, refried beans soft scrambled eggs. So moving on to phase III, solid foods
