i dont know if this has been asked. i was wonderin if a greddy type s bov on turboshoses hard pipes is pretty loud if ur running stock boost. i mean is it loud enough to hear when u pass someone up.

you want a good sound the HKS SSQV is best IMO. Greddy will give you woosh depending on the stiffness setting. Car will run like hell if you don't recirculate some air.

Haha, I'm sure it'll be plenty loud. You can here my bov, and its recirculated, not vented to the atmosphere

Even with a setup like this? Excuse the dirty bay.

is that your setup? Looks pretty nice - now just powdercoat the pipes.

No the car runs great with the MAF on the pressure side.... MSP's are known for that. Plus you can vent w/o confusing the engine. I don't know how good it is for the engine since after shifts it will run a different AF and try to compensate, but many are running on this setup with good results. I ran on that setup, but I was also recirculating for a bit more power after shifts.

I think i might make it a weekend project, maybe this weekend or next, but i have the same fmic as btlhlt and mine is powdercoated (thumb) as you can see in the pic, was talkin to him bout how he came about doing it last night.

so, by relocating the maf sensor there's no need to recirculate since you r venting air way before the maf...

interesting....kinda hard to do with the stock box....but interesting :)
