was doing a moderate speed geting onto the motorway, my MS3 revved till 5000 rpm, made a splutter and then didnt want to idle or hold boost above 3000.

I figured plugs, so I go out and get a set of GREDDY one step colder.

Now the problem, when I took the old plugs out, one of the plugs had a thick coating of oil on it...right through to the treads.

is my motor gone?

BTW, the plug change didnt help much, car is still refusing to idle properly, and doesnt want to rev... going to check if I tightened them properly as soon as she cools sufficiently....

PS, there was an amount of oil also on the cold pipe of the (stock)cooler.

Any ideas as to what the issue could be?

I have CAI,TBE, VTA HKS, and Uni-q

You might want to do a compression test on that cylinder to see if the rings are holding pressure, did you get a chance to check all your hoses just incase one is loose and not holding pressure. just my 2 cents.

I always have a ring of oil around my spark plugs (above the threads). Mazda told me it was nothing to worry about. Mazda are the experts :)

Spdjnke is talking about your boost hoses. These are the hoses that go from the turbo to the intercooler and the intercooler to your throttle body.

I would also check the hoses on your intake when you are there to make sure they are tight (especially the hose clamp on the compressor side inlet of the turbo).

I also always have some oil (not liquid, more grease-like) in my intake tract.
