Questions on new HU

I searched the forums and only found the thread on losing the clock when replacing Factury HU

depends on what year 3 you have... if its an 06+ then you loose the climate control display and temp.... the 04-05 is just the clock basically you are loosing that little display screen and it becomes a pocket....

not unless you get a very nice dash kit that's only sold in japan... the trim panel is factory quality plastic (not that bad 3rd world junk with poor fitment and rough plastic) and comes with a control module to let you retain the clock, and climate control display

No sorry to be vague on that guys, I want to get a New HU could care less about the clock dont have climate or trip, but my question is this.

Is there an aftermarket HU that I can purchase that will work with my steering wheel controls? and if so which models could I get?

Ah, that makes more sense. There are a few eclipse stereos that, with a software update, will integrate directly with the OEM steering wheel controls. Check this thread for info. on that.

Also you can install a PAC. http://www.pac-audio.com/ Check here for a list of may headunits that can be controlled with a PAC

well I went to crutchfield and I couldnt find the model you specified so any ideas where I can find this HU?

do you mean the eclipse HU's that are compatible, or the long list of others compatible with a PAC?

All of those numbers have been up for awhile, and they're slightly older models. I'd suggest checking with the companies to see what they say they make now.

Or you could try ebay.
