Question regarding trip computer function

Page 4-13 of the CX-5 owners manual says the average fuel economy figure can be cleared by holding the INFO button down for 1.5 seconds. I tried this and it does not work. It works in current fuel economy mode, but not average. Anybody else experienced this?

It works on mine. Are you sure you dont have that backwards? Mine does not reset on current.

Be sure to press the button straight down and hold. Do not press up or down and hold. The dealer actually made this mistake while trying to show me how to clear it. He felt a little uncomfortable when I showed him how to hold it dead center and press. It is a 3-way switch.

Current mpg will always be --.- when at a stop. So, it may look like it's been reset. Like 200 said though, push the button into the steering wheel, not up or down.
