Question regarding K&N's "Typhoon" CAI

Just put on on my 03 2.3 6 and thoroughly enjoy it but was wondering if it is better left short or long? What would be the next mod to take after this. Already got the NGK iridium plugs...
 
I'm guessing you're asking whether or not you want to keep it as a cold air intake (long) or a short ram (short). You'll get slightly quicker response with a short ram, but you'll gain slightly more HP in the higher RPMS with the cold air. If all you're doing is for extra sound, which is all you're pretty much going to get from a naturally aspirated car, with the only mod being an intake, it'll be louder as a short ram.
