question I need youre guys advice about something the dealer offered me.

Hi guys,
So next week I am picking up my new 2014 cx 5. The dealership offered me this paint protection package calledy super poly steel. It offers years of protection and seals the paint from any contaminents and maintains a shine without waxing. What are youre suggestions? the package is 600 dollars and they do the interior and exterior. The dealership said the product is good and beads water and I do not have to wax at all just wash and maintain. I like keeping my car clean so I see this as a good thing. What do you all think and has any of you used this before? by the way I am getting paint protection film as well. Thanks guys.

Brad, those products are an expensive rip-off IMHO. You can buy similar on ebay for a few bucks if you really want, but my advice is wash it regularly and wax with a high quality Carnauba wax at least every quarter. Whatever the dealer puts on, it is but a few microns thick and totally invisible. To expect anything like that to protect for years is totally unrealistic. save your money. Dealers love paint protection, as the mark up is astronomical, and you can't even see what they have done - caveat emptor as always...

Sounds like auto butler however it requires reapplication every 6 month, heard it's expensive also
