ok so got the intake and exhaust installed last night and ran into some problems today... i was driving around and when i shift like a normally do... it seems like it would jerk fowards... i was thinking maybe stock motor mount and little extra power would cause this... then i popped my hood found that the small thin line that connects to the back of the bov collapsed (dont know what that part is called) so i went to a parts store picked up stronger tubing and replaced it... but it still jerks... not as much as it did before i fixed the tube but still feels like it... this happens mainly between 1st and 2nd sometime 3rd if goin at it somewhat hard... anyone have any ideas or had this happen to them... going to try and have the mount installed this week but i want to know if theres anything else that i should know...

Sounds like you are talking about the vacuum lines that are connected to your BOV.

Are you venting to atmosphere or recirculating?

That problem doesn't really sound like an issue with the motor mount, but I could be wrong.

I've never heard of one caving in like that. Those are pretty thick walled hoses. I'm not a huge fan of that HKS intake you got but I've never heard of a problem like that from one. I've just known the filters to be of a little lesser quality.

not talkin about intake... talking about the bov

hmmm idk about the jerking i just installed my HKS SSQV 2 this weekend running VTA atm. but im having no driveability issues, i didnt have any problems with my vaccum hose...are you sure you installed it correctly and everything is tight and pluged? no leaks?

no leaks what so ever everything installed correctly, do u have a picture of the vacume hose.. cus i had to put that other filter like thing in between also and the stock hose i got from the cpe kit didnt fit so had to use another one and thats what caused the first stronger jerky feeling...

i can get a pic for you tommorow...i used that adapter thing too, didnt you have the factory hose there to connect to it? did you zip tie everything to make sure its not leaking?

zip tied everything and used a coupler in the part that recircs back into the intake... im gunna go try driving it a lil more see if anything starts to get loose or collapses in... i know i didnt have any jerkiness befor i/bov but alot of the jerkiness left after switching the collapsed tube..

i know this may sound stupid but you sure its not just you? i mean having that new sound could be throwing off your rhythm? how much seat time have you had since you installed all this stuff?

to tell you the truth i was thinking the same thing of being off rhythm... i have driven at least 50mi after installation but im gunna drive it a bit more and see what happens... but i dont think its me... but rather me than the car :) gunna go take a lil drive in a few... so im gunna test out methods of shifting or engaging if there is such a way...

ok took my drive around and it only seems to happen around 3500rpms and when i pretty much stomp on the clutch shift and let go somewhat hard... if im slow with it it doesnt jerk... but wen im around 4500-5000 its smooth... im gunna try to get that engine mount in this week and see if it makes a different...

any sound clips and vids?????

OOT right now but will do so when i get back (Give me week). Its got a real deep tone. Major change from the stock. I will also Dyno before as its seems there's more power through out.
