question about wiring my my Dual 4ohm sub with 2 channel amp

:
2001 Mazda MP3
What would be the best way to wire this. When I purchased this about a year ago, the guy at the audio store that sold it to me to run each positive to each positive and each negative to each negative to get the most out of the amp... does this sound right?

or should i use the bridge mode and go like this

ok found some specs on the amp
@ 2 ohms bridged it is 838x1
232x2 @ 4 ohm, so wouldn't at an 8 ohm load it be like 100 watts???

if your amp is 2 ohm stable as you have said then run positive to positive and negitive to negitive ,this will give you a 2 ohm load . at a 8 ohm load would be about 200 watts not 100

ok,. so i just did some product research and it says it is 2 ohm stable, so i run pos to pos, neg to neg, and pos to pos and neg to neg... parallel correct? and put me at the 2 ohm load, and the manual says it is radet at 315x2@2ohm avg... so what kind rms would that put me? would it be close to the 838x1 at 2 ohms bridged?

but my amp also has one positive and one negative labeled bridged so i i wire it using that in series will it pull the amp to a 2ohm load or only 4?
