Question about wheels.

yeah, you should be able to run a 215/40 with a 17x7 +48. something seems wrong if your rubbing. are you rubbing on the strut or the fender? if it's the fender, then the offset isn't 48.

I'm rolling on the stockers right now, but after strut replacement I'm gonna slap the 17s back on for a commute round trip and see how I do.

Right now I've got 205/40R17's on a 7 inch wide wheel with an offset of 38. Having lowered the car quite a bit it only rubs when the car is loaded and I'm cornering really hard

ive got 17s, that are 7.5 wide, with 215/40 tyres. 50 offset. i have about 3mm from the strut at the back. well atually its tight all round. and im lowered on ebachs. but im gonna get some coilovers hopfully they'll be thinner and give me a little bit more lee way.
