question about the mp3

i'm probably getting an mp3 but i was just wondering how dependable they are?? are there transmission strong?? any major problems??? the car i'm looking at has 93,000 but had a new motor put in it and it now has 17,000

ya man its a mazda made in japan before they started making them is the US so its pretty decent car for the price

yea mp3 ftw. Mine has just under 110,000 on it right now. Orig clutch, engine, trani. Other then that just simple fixes like sway bar endlinks, engine mounts, and sway bar bushings.

I've only ever seen one MP3 in my area, and that was at an intersection. It was blue like the one in martispeed's avatar, really sharp. Is it a Protege, or something different? What engines do they have?

yea its a 2001 protege with a wings west body kit, different ecu (Advanced timing), And more sporty susp.(sway bar, front tower bar, tokico hp's, racing beat springs) And racing beat exaust.It has the regular 2.0

It's NOT a wings west body kit
Just so that there isn't any confustion, it's an axleback and not a catback
They aren't Tokico HPs but rather a revalved version with a higher rear spring perch
They are similar to RB springs but different specs which is why "Racing Beat" isn't written on them
